MCF Celebrates McLean
Our generous donors made
Building Community Together a wonderful celebration of the organizations and people that make McLean strong.
At Building Community Together, MCF featured the McLean Community Center, a long-time partner in service to McLean, and also honored Tracy and Jim Millar for their work with Phoenix House Mid-Atlantic, serving local families facing the challenges of addiction.
Attendees included MCF Founding Trustee Lilla Richards, and MCF Leadership Council members Bobbie & Bill Kilberg and Dan & Karen DuVal. State Senator Barbara Favola and Delegates Kathleen Murphy, Marcus Simon and Rip Sullivan were also in attendance.
FCPF's Roberta Longworth, MCF Trustees Janet Tysse and Amy Swaak and Supervisor John Foust.
The Fairfax County Park Foundation's Eakin Philanthropy Award recognizes visionary contributions to Fairfax County Parks. MCF was honored for it's long-standing partnership with FCPF and grants to Fairfax County Parks, including substantial support for McLean's beloved Clemyjontri.

MCF Awards Chain Bridge Cup
The rivalry between McLean High and Langley High is legendary. With Athletic Directors Geoff Noto, Langley, and Greg Miller, McLean, MCF established the Chain Bridge Cup, an award that will go to the school with the most wins across all sports each year.
"Seeing the enthusiasm and the passion in these athletic directors, we knew we wanted to be a part of this," said Trustee Ali Khazai, a McLean High alum. “I remember this intense rivalry from my high school days and hope The Cup will capture both the loyalty the athletes have to their schools and the affection we all have for this community."
Congratulations to Langley for winning the first Chain Bridge Cup!

Featured MCF Grantees
Haycock Elementary School
The students, faculty and parents at Haycock Elementary are enjoying new
playground equipment. The purchase
was supported by a grant from the MCF.
PHMA, which has helped more than 30,000 individuals dealing with substance abuse, received $10,000 for its expanded residential facility and new health and fitness center. Given the public health emergency in Virginia from the use of heroin and other opioids, MCF is especially proud to support this leader in treatment and long-term recovery methods.
