MCF Announces New Leadership Council

June 24, 2009 – McLean, VA - The McLean Community Foundation, charitable arm of the McLean Citizens Association, has recruited an impressive group of community leaders to serve as founding members of its newly formed Leadership Council.

“The creation of the Leadership Council was one of our major goals,” said Trish Butler, immediate past president of MCF. We wanted to bring into our organization accomplished and well-known residents to help us raise the Foundation’s visibility and credibility and to grow our endowment. We are very proud that the following individuals have agreed to serve as founding Leadership Council members.”

  • Dan and Karen Duval, active community members.
  • The Honorable Peter Fitzgerald, former U.S. Senator and chairman of the board of directors of Chain Bridge Bank.
  • Debra Howard, active community member and former president of MCF.
  • Bill and Bobbie Kilberg, Bill is a senior partner at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and Bobbi is president and CEO of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC).
  • The Honorable Charles Robb, former U.S. Senator and Virginia Governor, and Mrs. Lynda Robb.
  • Elizabeth V. Lodal, active community member.

The new Leadership Council members were welcomed recently by MCF Trustees at a gathering at the home of Debbie and Tim Howard.

MCF, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, has been funding projects that have a lasting benefit to residents of the Greater McLean area for nearly 30 years. Individuals and businesses can support the important work of the McLean Community Foundation by making tax deductible contributions to MCF, P.O. Box 75, McLean, Virginia 22101. The more money we raise, the more we can return to our community.
